Presentation and organization

The scientific goal of this international school is to provide a coherent, large basis and high quality training on physical properties of van der Waals hetero-structures, from both theoretical and experimental points of view (synthesis and structure, electrical transport, optics, nanomechanics, magnetism, quantum technologies,...) Practical formation on table-top experimentals, specialized seminars and initiation to numerical methods complement the main lectures.

Training the new generation of young scientists.

The school is not intended for experts, but mostly for students, post-docs and young researchers starting in the field... Priority will be given to members of the GDR-I.
